"Imagine a great heap of grain near some village or town
From which people were helping themselves,
Carrying it away in their baskets, pockets and hands.
If you asked them where the grain was from,
They would say they got it from that great heap.

"Even so, whatever is well-spoken,
All that is the word of the Sublime One,
The Arahant, the perfectly and completely Awakened One.
Wholly derived from that is what we and others say".
